The owner was very personable, worked with my so, and knew what he was doing. I highly recommend this shop.
The folks at mid-pacific wheels handle my special orders with great care. Purchased a couple of Giant mountain bikes and they made sure the rigs were ride rrady...even performed complimentary tuneups until they were happy that I was happy. Disappointed that only 5 stars are available to rate this awesome bike shop.
I will never do business with Mid Pacific Wheels. I paid for my bicycle registration and never received my sticker. The County didn't have any record of it being paid. I called MPW 5 times and left messages for the owner, who apparently was the only person who could help me. After finally getting a hold of him all I heard was excuses. I was going to take my bike for a tuneup, but now I'm going somewhere else. I don't think I can mention the name here, but they provide better customer service.
Professional shop with charming, experienced staff. Jerry and Frank know the island well and kindly fitted a pannier rack to a rental bike without charging extra. Mountain bikes and road bikes are available for rental - no hybrids. Both are good quality but expensive. I will note that I had a couple of problems with my rental, including a flat tyre and no glue in the puncture repair kit. Check thoroughly before you set off!
