The congregation draws from the entire community of Hilo and surrounding, but its location adjacent to the University of HI seems to emphasize professionals from campus and related programs. They reflect a warm and very casual life style and are committed to the community and to shining God's light through the local Hawaiian culture of aloha.
While in Hilo for 4 months I grappled with a difficult personal situation, and it was this wonderful church, its priest and its parishioners that gave me strength through prayer. I express my deep gratitude.
