I went to the MMF 2016 and it was a great experience. I enjoyed the crafts and food during the day and watching the dancing in the evening. Here is my only recommendation if you're going: make sure you plan which dances you want to see. If you leave your seat for the restroom and they start dancing, you will NOT be allowed back in until the dancing has concluded. Definitely worth seeing.

Wonderful craft show accompanies world-class hula competition.

MY SINCERE LOVE AND ALOHA TO HULA MASTER GEORGE NA'OPE, AUNTY DOTTIE THOMPSON, AUNTY LUANA KAWAELU AND THE MANY KUMU HULA, HULA STUDENTS AND SUPPORTERS FOR THIER DEDICATION, COMMITMENT AND PERPETUATION OF OUR HULA LEGACY!

We're da best Hawaiian Hula performance compatision in the world comes , yearly . Come and see Hilo , Hi , .. No Ka Oi (#1)

I've never attended a Merrie Monarch festival because I usually am working at a Hawaiian food booth during this week long event.
