They are unfriendly and unprofessional. They have made a mistake every week. They keep making mistakes, and do not seem to care at all. They act like you are bothering them when they lose your package.

I monitored the tracking like a hawk and saw that my package wasn't deliverable to a box so they were finding a different address. Ok, reasonable enough. I call the national UPS number to make sure the address they were going to deliver was correct (it wasn't). I find that odd since I gave the merchant my number, I would have assumed my number would be handed down to UPS and they'd be able to call me to obtain an address, instead of choosing one at random, but again I give them the benefit of the doubt. So I give the guy my actual updated address and he says that someone from this local ups will call me in an hour to verify. Crisis averted right? Wrong.
I wait patiently for an hour and right as I'm about to call again to look into it I get a call from someone at UPS. Unfortunately the call gets disconnected almost immediately. No big deal right? I wait for the lady to call me back like a normal sane person and yet after 20 mins goes by, no call back. So like the great company this UPS is, their number comes through unknown so you have no way to call them back or to fix any errors when it comes to shipping. So AGAIN I call the national number for help. They tell me not even they have a number to contact them, but that someone had noted that the called failed and would attempt to call back. "Ok great", I think, even though they didn't call back in a normal amount of time, they can't possible just never call back, and hell even if they never call back, I've already updated the address, so they have to be able to deliver it there, but no, It's 8pm and I still haven't gotten a call and the tracking still hasn't been updated so I could have at least picked it up in person if it was returned there. Their store is also closed on Saturdays, because at this point, why not?
You wouldn't even believe how upset I am right now. I tried to do everything in my power to make my package arrive on time today, the day it was supposed to arrive, and yet it didn't.
These guys are awesome, always have good experience with the Hilo ups!
So for all my effort, my $1000 package was or almost was delivered to a wrong address with zero input from me and best case scenario after waiting weeks for it to ship, I will now have to wait over the weekend to have a chance to get again if they even ever call me back.
The Hilo ups center has always shown awesome. Service.. my son is in NC. Serving our country so when we sending a care package for him.. very simple.. the remember their customers as well. Thank you for the great awesome services..
The UPS at Hilo airport was friendly and professional for years. Then they hired all new staff, in early 2017.
