Plenty if up front parking at this store. Inside is very clean and well lit. Be prepared to accept numerous samples of coffee and candy. Nice viewing area where you can watch candy be made. Lots of old favorites and interesting combinations. If there isnt a sample out they will get you one for most items.
This place is in main Hilo and a mecca for cookies and chocolate lovers. Magnificent display of the Factory along with enticing showroom. Staff is very welcoming and cheerful. A lot of variation and detailed description of items. Parking is plenty. We bought cookies dipped in Dark Chocolate and loved them.
Usually have great experience when shopping here. Guess the holiday season is super busy because it's crowded. The past two times I've gone since November, a certain worker showed no regards to me as she pushed her way in front of me while I was trying to make my way through the crowded isle with my hands full with my 18 month old in one arm & boxes of candies in the other. I brushed it off the first time but it made me somewhat irritated when it happened again on my 2nd visit. I'll still shop there though. Most workers are friendly & helpful.
Beautifully art designed retail store that lets you peek in on the workers making the chocolates. Even get a nod for environmentalism with the use of their catalog pages to make origami style butterflies for one of the displays. Everything I tasted was very good, especially the salted caramel topped brownies that were dipped in chocolate. Only thing that kept it from 5 stars was the pricing, but everything in Hawaii is on the expensive side.
The store was neat. It was busy - a lot of tourists. There were other customers in the store who seemed to have someone who worked there accompanying them, offering them free samples or anything they were interested in. When we went to check out my husband and I were debating about an item and the lady at the cash register offered to give us a sample to help us decide. She was definitely the most pleasant person we interacted with - I wish we had found her sooner! The selection seemed to be mostly different kinds of shortbread dipped in chocolate, and chocolate covered
Macadamia nuts, brownies. I wasn’t overly impressed with their selection. I haven’t dug in to taste our purchases yet so I can’t speak much to the quality!
