I feel very lucky with my help from Care Hawai'i. They are helpful, non-judgemental, and very PRACTICAL! Instead of telling me things to do, they really work together with me, helping me to understand some strategies and how to benefit from them. I'm also so impressed with the follow-through. They look at the plans and goals as an ongoing life improvement, and not just as a list and then it'd done. And they follow through and always have adjustments we can work out to make the progress better. I didn't expect such excellence when I started, and I'm so grateful for the kind of staff and program they have.

I moved here from Riverside County California. I had an excellent mental health Team, and honestly was not expecting too much when I moved here. Care Hawaii has gone above and beyond in helping me connect with all the services that I need and in taking good, personal, care of me!
I do not know what everyone is talking about. They only get one star because they answered the phone. I called asking advice to get my little sister help for a serious mental condition. She just moved recently for school and has no family or friends there. Insurance won't begin until the first of the next month. They gave me no information and told me to tell her to call 911 if she experiences an episode before her insurance kicks in ... because you can think clearly during a mental health episode...? Who waits until an acute mental break to help a patient in need? Care Hawaii needs to learn how to be proactive not reactive. I am glad I work in healthcare and know this is not a 'caring environment.' If that was your little sister you would not wait until she attempts suicide to get help.
