Dr Mauro has treated me the past several years. The treatment and care by Mauro and his STAFF has always been excellent.

Im sure he is a good doctor, but his staff is awful. I couldn't even get an appointment because they woman who answered the phone said they only take selective patients. She told me to ask the urgent care to fax over the chart note and said they wont have any openings for the next three weeks at least, and that was IF I was selected. Then when I asked if there was another doctor she recommended, she barked back to ask urgent care or google. When I rephrased the question she cut me off and raised her voice that they were not accepting any new patients at this time. Who ever the gargoyle at the front desk is, she could use a class on patience and customer service. I was in need of help and did not ask much from her and she didn't even give me 3 minutes of her time. With her being the face of the front office, I would recommend replacing her with someone who wants to help.

Dr. Mauro`s office gave me excellent care between 2013 and 2015. I`m almost 69 years old, have had skin cancer since I was 30. I`ve seen many dermatologists in lots of different offices, from San Diego, Barbados, Oregon to Hawaii. Dr. Mauro`s office was equal to the best. Unlike other offices the appointments were kept pretty much on time. The care I received there is one of the things I miss most from the Big Island. Astoria, Oregon has the worst, or none at all. I wish I could go see Dr. Mauro tomorrow!
