Same experience as Rachel, a complete and stunning lack of any and all professionalism by the entire staff - I checked in 5 minutes early then sat in their waiting room for well over an hour, started wondering why they wouldn't simply take 10 seconds to say 'hey, sorry we are running behind, will be another ____'. To have a customer sit 15 feet from you for a full hour after their appointment and not say a word. then get short when I gently inquire?
He was terrible. He told his cute little assistant more about my mri than he told me. A friend of mind really regrets going to him also. He was misdiagnosed also.
The VA referred me to Dr. Matsuura, so I had no prior knowledge about him. I have seen him twice now, and I really love him! I am a retired Navy submarine Corpsman, so I have a long history of what doctors are good or bad. Dr. Matsuura is at the top group in my book. He gave me his undivided attention, asked probing questions, gave me choices (instead of just telling me what to do), and made sure I knew exactly what to do when I went home. My second visit had a long wait, but his staff came out several times to visit with patients, especially the elderly ones, then offered everyone cookies and water.
I had a great experience at Dr. Matsuura's office. I understand he is extremely busy. Regardless of the long wait, he was able to diagnose my symptoms clearly in a way I could understand. I was recommended to get surgery off island but with Dr. Matsuura's advice I was able to heal without unnecessary surgery! Highly Recommend!!!! A+++ Lovely staff too!
Over the years Dr. Matsuura has helped me very ,very much. Yes he is a bit "Flip" but he is very straightforward and real . I always appreciate his honesty....
