Leilani, could have cared less about me. She made a few snide comments during our VERY short visit. I will try a different urgent care next time.
Treated well at every step. All of the staff were polite, thorough, & efficient. I was happy to have my injury cared for quickly. Don't understand the bad reviews. Of course, I'm polite to all people perhaps that helps.
I fell on lava rocks and totally cut up my hand. We went strait to this Urgent Care place and waited for about a hour. When we got inside the nurses were very friendly and attentive to me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. Michelle and Christine was my doctor and nurse.
The doctor was fantastic but the rest was a disaster. The receptionist asked me why I was there in full hearing of a tiny waiting room and expected me to answer aloud. Receptionist staff was not great and the waiting room is way too small.
I will avoid going here again at all costs. My daughter had a case of tonsillitis so I needed to get a prescription for antibiotics. Should have been easy enough ,but not with this place. After being told I was all set to go and the doctor had called in the prescription I proceeded to go pick it up. When I arrived at the pharmacy the clerk told me a few more minutes and It would be ready for pickup. After waiting a few minutes I asked the clerk if my prescription was ready and she informed me the doctors office had called and canceled the prescription? Nothing like this has ever happened to me so I was kind of in shock. After going outside to call hilo urgent care back and get to the bottom of this, I was informed because I didn't pay them cash at the visit that they had canceled the prescription. First of all if that is the way you decide to operate your business fine, collect the money up front. Every other walk in clinic has sent me a bill, i assumed thats why they need your id, mailing address, etc. Second of all i was told we were all set to go and the doctor had called in the prescription. Canceling the prescription was lacking in class and very unprofessional for an error on their part In regards to payment. After calling and paying my bill they told me they would call the pharmacy and reorder the prescription and very rudely hung up without saying anything else. It took them close to one hour to call it back in, and even the pharmacist had a puzzled look on his face when he exclaimed "wow that took a really long time". Bottom line this place is pretty sub par with other walk in clinics and I will take my business elsewhere. Very ghetto like mentality.
