They have done so many things right over the years, it's hard to imagine not bringing them business. Super local, super friendly and really good at what they do. Anyone with off the grid needs should check with them before buying online.
Drove from Volcano to pick up a propane heater... When we arrived, the entire store was full of marijuana smoke, and the two youngsters running the place were so stoned they had to be told a few times we wanted a propane space heater, and let us drive away without selling us the "Mr. Heater" the girl at the desk was waving around saying they didn't have any more of. We were surely disappointed with "Hilo Propane", and won't bother shopping or stopping there again.
Core parts and services for off-the-grid living. Recently took them an old Paloma for a fix. A definite long-shot since they had already fixed it years before and told us it was on it's way out. They couldn't fix and didn't charge for the assessment (next day service).
