These guys are knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I had my PC laptop fixed and RAM upgraded here. They also helped me turn an old desktop PC hard drive into a portable external drive. They will help you figure out what needs to be done and will let you know what options you have for repairs. They've even told me before it would be cheaper if I bought the parts myself and they could just install them (as opposed to them buying the parts and charging extra).
Took my wife's 8 month old Toshiba laptop to Troy with a virus I could not remove, simple no? Not at all. Troy failed to mention how back logged he was and it took 11 days to get it back. It still had the virus and Troy took upon himself to remove our favored security software and installed one he liked without even asking us, bad move and arrogant to boot. The system was so screwed up it took 25 minutes to open the control panel! Took it back to him and he made some remarks about maybe we had a corrupted network at home? Left him with it again, brought it back home, worked for 3 days and started acting up again, can't even open picture files. Troy is a nice enough guy but I think he is Mac minded and does not understand the MS operating system very well. We will look for someone that can hopefully fix Troy's mess because giving him a third chance is not in the cards.
Very happy with the speedy service that I received from this company. I was warned that the current backlog was two weeks. However, the technician quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it immediately. This is my "go to" company in Hilo for computer repairs.
What great service! I'm here on a trip and just stopped in with my computer that stopped booting up. The service manager immediately grabbed my computer and got to work, he tried several diagnostic services before determining that I'll need a new motherboard, I couldn't wait to have it fixed (plus HE reminded me it was likely under warranty- HONEST!) so I said I would just pay him for his excellent service, he said "no fix, no pay!" He spent quite a while on my computer and didn't charge me?!? The thing tourists worry about the most is being taken advantage of, not with this shop, these are honest people- my daughter lives here and I'll make sure she has the name of this shop for any computer needs she has. I also watched him interact with several customers and he treated them all fairly and kindly, great service! PS, my computer is under warranty and I appreciate the reminder because it never crossed my mind! Thank you so much!!
Took 2 in 1 laptop there. Laptop needed new hard drive. Cost around $350 to have it changed. 2 weeks later I pick up laptop. Power button isn't working properly. They were aware of this but still gave it back to me. Few days later I take it back. They very willingly put new button In. That didn't fix it. Then told me it's the motherboard. They then said they won't fix it anymore. And told me they would refund me. So I got money back and guy began taking out hard drive that now had all my thousands of pics on from vacationing in the Philippines. So I was upset they not only unfixed the hard drive but gave me back a laptop that was not even screwed back together and was in worse shape then the day I took it there.
