Car was readily available on my arrival. Car was clean and well maintained. Drop off was fast and simple.
The rates were competitive, and the helpful team here was able to swap out my rental to a 4x4, which proved to be incredibly helpful on the big island !
Unfortunately there was a mix up with my reservations. But Alamo provided me with upgraded car at no charge. Later I returned the car for something smaller and there was no problem, they just told me to pick a car an go. Thanks
This experience was the best! My mom and I went to Hilo the day before my birthday. The lady who helped us actually caught me off guard wishing me happy birthday. Then after i signed all papers she handed me the key to my rental car. Mind you... i booked a compact car. But she gave me the keys to a SPORTS car!! I was shocked and speechless. All i could say was huh?! She said because it's my birthday [tomorrow]. I thanked her so much and she made my birthday special and my mom and I had a great time riding a sports car
I don't know the name of that lady who did that but she was super friendly and if you read this i wanted to thank you again!!
The Ford Mustang convertible was clean and fun to drive around the big island. There was a lengthy line but it move quickly. A few suggestions: we were told to look the car over for damage we did and brought some dents it to the attention of gate attendant she looked and said those are all fine but there was no documentation that those dents already existed. Second you should extend a commentary spouse as a 2nd driver like some of your competitors. The check in process was a bit hectic at Kona Airport some more signs were needed and the employees that were cleaning the cars did not say anything when we were clearly looking around for someone to check the car back in. Overall I'm satisfied but if you acted upon these suggestions it would be a 5 star experience!
