Very good service and decent prices. After some research we learned that only 4x4 were allowed to drive up Mouna Kea so we rented a full size pickup truck here for one day. We could park our other rental car at Harper. Very friendly staff and they take a full video of the car with the pre-rental condition. The pickup and dropoff is less than 30 min very fast.
Employees are very helpful and friendly. Prices for their rentals are very reasonable. They rent 4-wheel drives, cargo vans, mini vans, sedans, box trucks, cooler trucks and much more. Give them a call and they'll be more than willing to help.
The big national car rental companies need to learn how to provide an excellent customer service experience from Harpers. Friendly and professional - no pressure to buy something you don't need (as happened on Maui with one of the national companies). Yes, they do a white glove inspection before and after you rent the vehicle, which means you're protected as they are. Clean vehicle in excellent condition at a competitive price...look no where else.
Was there is Oct 2017, rented a 12 pax van, service was great. The video recording for checking car was odd, but acceptable.
Good clean cars. Very good pre / post inspection. Shuttle service. Only bad thing was it's a little slower than other rental companies, took longer to get out the door and on the road.
