Very impressed! Awesome place! Great vibe! Not a luxury hotel, this is old Hawaii at it best! Rooms are neat and clean! Attention paid to detail! Free fresh fruit in the lobby from the gardens out back all day as well as fresh banana bread and coffee in the morning till it runs out which lasts longer than breakfast at most hotels!
Very quaint and charming older small hotel. Nice management/owner. Clean and close to attractions. Every morning there is coffee, fresh local fruit and pastries. Today we had generous slices of banana bread. Being warm we had the windows all open and of course the sounds of life were all around; a night bird by our window, familes chatting and in the morning one neighbors dog letting us know someone was around. Not a problem for us.
Do yourself a favor and stay here!
Full kitchens and plenty of room to stretch out! We had a nice lenai out our backdoor! Super nice garden area out our lenai to sit at our private table and enjoy our free coffee and banana bread.
The owner's friendly advice really makes this place special. Beds were also very comfortable.
I always stay here while in Hilo. Non-touristy, with easy walking to downtown, shops, and restaurants. Room has kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove; also bedroom and living area. Not fancy, but my family loves it. Very, very nice staff. Fresh fruit and pastry available each morning. A great place with a local feel.
Modest rooms but the staff is incredible. The fresh fruit is amazing and grown right there on the property. They provide coffee and banana bread every morning. The banana bread is incredible!
